Water Saving Great but what about the members?

Virgin Active have taken steps in the Western Cape to conserve water, that is great but .....

They shut down their steam rooms and saunas on Wednesday and then on Wednesday evening they sent a text message to say why they had done it. Completely understandable in the circumstances, however, what does not make sense is why close both, the Steam Room is understandable, it takes more water to clean but then at least, as a start, keep the Saunas going. Nothing like a good work out and then relaxing for a couple of minutes afterwards in the Sauna, that is now no longer an option.

But the big question is that Virgin Active are doing their part to save water because of the critical shortage in the Western Cape but what they are doing to compensate their members for the services they have removed from their service offering. They are saving a fortune, not only in water but their electricity bill will be substantially lower, they will be using less cleaning materials and will probably save 1 staff member at every gym because they clean the Saunas ans Steamrooms twice daily so times two (Ladies & Gents) that means they are saving 4 hours a day and given the way things are going in that they are no longer topping up the swimming pools it is only a matter of time before those are also shut down. So give something back to the members because you are not offering a full service, but no you are not saying what you are doing for the members. Vigin Active sent out an email over the weekend telling us about all their contributions to making substantial savings but what about the members?
