Warning to anyone considering to join Virgin Active

In 2023, I was interested in opening a gym contract with Virgin Active. During the course of doing so, the company *****ulently took money from my bank account without a signed contract, essentially committing *****. I contacted them, and they claimed to have reversed the issue and refunded me. However, in 2023, I have now been contacted by a debt collection agency stating that I owe money to Virgin Active—the amount they *****ulently took from me and then reimbursed me. There has not been a single employee within their company competent enough to assist me or reverse the issue. Additionally, they did not contact me once before this to inform me of this debt.
