Virgin Active's Useless Debt Collectors

Before I begin my rant I would like to say that the staff at the Beacon Bay Virgin Active have been very helpful and done everything they can to try and help.

Two weeks ago I tried to open a Virgin Active Account only to find that I allegedly opened a Virgin Account 13 years ago while I was in England. When I returned from my travels I started getting phone calls from a company to say that I have an outstanding debt with Virgin Active. I never took them seriously because they never had my correct name nor an email address I've ever had. I sent them my VISA proving I was out of the country during this contract and they stopped harassing me for 8 years now. So I assumed that the matter was over, until 2 weeks ago.

I know that this is now the debt collection company's problem but the problem originated at Virgin Active. The collection company is impossible to deal with because the only answer I have been getting from them is, "no you must pay", no matter what I say. If they don't hangup on you or even answer their phones.

I would really like to train at the Virgin Active in Beacon Bay but I will not pay a cent for this account I never opened. I also keep getting offered a discount for "my arrears" which I am also not interested in.

So ***** in your court Virgin, can I join your gym or must I start looking for another gym?
