Virgin Active - Waterfall

I had a really poor experience with the Virgin Active Gym at Waterfall in Midrand. I took my son to the swimming area, supposedly the kids section as it has an area that is 700M in height and another that is 1.2M in height. (Obviously had he been able to swim I would not need to use this area and could use any area of the facility). I was then advised that there is an aqua class starting in 5 mins and that I would need to remove him from the facility. I then proceeded to the reception to check if there was a manager I could speak to, to either make a recommendation and or understand the thinking behind closing of this area. I found a lady at the reception by the name of Charlotte and on explaining my query asked her to get me a manager I could speak to, (bearing in mind that this is not for her to fix but for a manager to address). She then proceeded to indicate that there was no manager available that I could speak to and said that I would have to provide my complaint/request on paper with my contact details for the manager of the gym to call me back, and that he was the only person that could help me. I advised that I want to speak to any of the managers and she indicated there was no on (again I ask the question, virgin active without manager? interesting). My husband approached me at the same time and I indicated to him that this young lady could not help me, to which she found offence and stood in the open reception of the Virgin Active and raised her voice at me. I retaliated with telling her to walk away and she said she would not but will rather tell me that I cannot talk to her like that.....(young lady,,, did not know that was an offensive thing to say to a person, huh... guess you learn every day.) I was then met by Chris, one of the manager and whooolaaa wonder where he came from. Needless to say I explained my experience to him and he advised that he will make contact with me the next day to do his best to remedy the matter. I was grateful for his assistance and left. Today, 20 Jan 2017 I received a call from Ray the manager of the facility and was advised that he will speak to his employee and address the matter with her... ok brilliant but they cannot change the aqua class to accommodate kids using the facility at the same time due to kids distracting the class and splashing water onto the members who are there for the class(question, do i not pay for my son? Is he not a member? So my questions lie unanswered and are: if you're at a swimming/aqua class do you expect to stay dry? Why is the area for the kids to swim (700M) in a restricted area? Best of all this class is 3 times a week and in the afternoon on 2 days and on a Saturday therefore leaving the facility unavailable 2 of the 3 days. Only option...... I wonder?????

Requested a cancellation of my son's membership (If he is unwelcome to use to facility and there is no willingness to accomodate him, why use the facility) I received the cancellation without even an attempt to manage the situation to keep the membership. So sad.
