Virgin Active Vodaworld donated my swimming costume without my consent

I forgot my swimming costume at Virgin Active Voda World and, after traveling to Limpopo for work, I called to let them know I had forgotten it. I was assured that if I came in, they would show me the lost and found. However, when I returned two weeks later, I was told that items in the lost and found are donated to charity after 7 days. This was never mentioned during my phone call. It’s extremely frustrating because swimming costumes are expensive, and I could have had my swimming instructor check for it if I had known about the 7-day policy. This experience is unacceptable, and I am very unhappy with how it was handled.
