Virgin Active - unacceptable sign up

I have still not received any feedback regarding my below email sent to you on the 24th of April 2022.

I got an unexpected call from Ricardo from virgin active Balito branch on Friday the 8th of April 2022.

He then convinced me to join as I will get April and May on the house, no joining/activation fee, a free fitness program and a free bag as he says you guys are running a bag promotion so I joined the Virgin active Randburg branch as I live in Randburg (Gauteng).

I get to the virgin active Randburg branch to fetch my card and have my first session. Only to hear that sorry my home club is Airport Junction (no idea where this is). I did however just google it now and it says Botswana. I did not get my bag or the free fitness program either.

I then called Ricardo and he spoke to the lady at the desk and she activated my card and let me in. It was after 6pm so Ricardo said, don’t worry he will sort it out tomorrow morning first thing and I will also get my bag the following day.

I get there the following day. Nothing has changed. No bag. Home club not changed. No free fitness program. Nothing.

I ask Ricardo what’s happening and he says sorry it completely slipped his mind. He then says I can change it on the virgin active app. I tried but it says for vitality members we have to wait 60 days to make a change.

I asked Ricardo who’s the manager at the Randburg branch or who can I go see to sort it out. He says he just cannot remember the managers name or the sales person’s name.

Ricardo then tells me to call the call centre. What a damn nerve. I tried calling the call centre but it was after hours. I am now ****ed off and I would like to cancel my membership as I am getting no joy 😞

I would rather prefer to go into the branch and sign a new contract face to face so that I receive what’s due to me and if I have any issues I can chat to my sales person at the club face to face.

Please kindly advise?
