Virgin Active Sun Valley
I am in a state of shock at how I was treated and spoken to by Cameron at Virgin Active Sun Valley in the Western Cape. He seems to think that being the Manager in Charge means that I report to him and his job is to police clients and not to service them. He made the personal trainer wait and messed me and my son around because my son had forgotten his card at home. I was told that people are not allowed in the gym without a card. Nonsense, I have been able to enter Virgin Active despite not having my card on me for longer than Cameron has been alive.
He told me that my son last had an account in 2017. If that was true, how has my son managed to successfully enter Virgin Active branches since then. Is the problem that no one else at Virgin Active has been able to do what the all powerful Cameron is only able to detect with his all seeing eyes? I explained that the information he was looking at on the system was incorrect and an old account, and could he please look under my profile as my son's account was linked to my profile.
He refused and told me that I was wrong. He refused to allow my son access while we tried to sort out the issue, as he was in charge and his job was to ensure that people didn't enter the gym *******ly. Nonsense, he seems really confused what his job is.
Is this a major issue Virgin Sun Valley has to deal with? Really? Hordes of people booking personal trainers, that they pay by the hour, and then try to sneak into the gym *******ly. Is it a booming and profitable crime in the area that just hasn't made it to the papers yet?
When I later called and asked him to please provide me with the last four digits of my son's membership card, so that I could ensure there is no problems going forward. He told me to phone back as the computer was being used. When I told him I had enough of him wasting my time, and he needed to phone me back, there was an immediate change in tone. I then told him I wanted an apology from him. I was told that "I will not apologise" and "I will hang up on you" and "I don't have anyone that I report to" and that "Don't shout at me". Nonsense, I was not shouting. Besides being taught what customer service is, the next thing he needs to learn what shouting is. I am happy to demonstrate the difference if necessary.
Cameron, for your own sake, let me help you. Take the time to google customer service. Cameron at Sun Valley I look forward to receiving you apology. Not by phone, not by email, but in person, an apology for me, my son and the personal trainer.
