Virgin Active sucks our cash for nothing

I canceled my Virgin Active contract in March this year (2018) and ever since they've been deducting R79 on monthly basis from my bank account. I've been too lazy to go visit the bank and stop these debit orders. Now all of a sudden they started deducting R479 from my bank account, they tell me that my CANCELLATION HAS EXPERIED and that my membership is still active on their system. I've reversed the money back to my bank account, now they threaten to take me to their debt collectors. I'm now forced by them to pay that money or else there will be consequences... Virgin Active is always craving for people's money and my advice to you all is to stay away from these vampires.
