Virgin active : still charge fees after cancellation

Hi , I cAncelled my virgin active month to month contract via telephone and the guy at the cAll center assured me that this cancellation will be done by the end of April 2021 and as of the first of May 2021 I won’t be a member but instead I’m charged a fee of R518.00. I am absolutely livid and will never ever use this gym again. Please think twice before even sign up and virgin active . I will be consulting my attorneys on this
