Virgin Active - Stellenbosch

I am extremely unhappy with the manner in which a sales consultant at Virgin Active - Stellenbosch has handled my membeship thus far. When I joined the gym with a colleague, a sales consulatnt stated that there will be no activation fees as it forms part of the promotion they were running at that time (No gym fees from October 2019 to December 2019). That we only have to pay a registration fee of R150.00, which we paid.

He then said that if we activate Vitality he will backdate it so that the joining fee does not kick in. I sent him a whatsapp with my vitality number after it was activated and received no feedback. I then went to the gym and could not get hold of him. He called me and put me on a connference call with a Discovery consultant and only then then Vitality Gym benefit was activated. That is when he started mentioning the joining fee which he had clearly stated upon me joining the gym that there are no joining fees, we only pay a registration fee of R150.00

If I was supposed to pay the joining fee and had not paid it, how is that I had access to the gym and another thing upon checking the Virgin Active website I realised that the registration fee is actually R120.00 not R150.00.

Your agent gave us the wrong information and we signed the contract based on the false information your sales conultant provided. He is now trying to cover up his tracks because he gave us false information.
