Virgin Active ridiculous cancellation policy

My wife who is pregnant 7 months, has been ordered by her Gynea that she should not gym for the duration of her pregnancy.<br> <br> As you know gym fees are paid a month in advance for the following month. Therefore she wanted to cancel the membership before the Feb month, simply because we need the cash and can't afford to be paying for a membership we're not going to be using.<br> <br> The lady says policy of the gym is that you cancel a month in advance so that the gym can still take your fee for the once month. That is grossly unfair and such a bad policy. Many companies provide reimbur*****ts and refunds for cancelled memberships for fees paid in advance its good business and keeps customers happy. Its not a big to reverse or refund so I don't understand why your policy is so oppresssive. <br> <br> My wife made her intention to cancel before the month of Feb, and we expect no fee to be charged for FEB. Its ******* and no fair. We have contacted the bank to cancel the stop the debit order. But if it still goes off, I expect you refund my wife immediately or else I will take action. Consumer protection act states that customers should not pay for services they do receive. So we have rights.
