Virgin Active Red Durban

I am extremely hurt and abused by MBD which i assume is Virgin active debt collectors.

I joined virgin Active Red as a member sometime ago, i was approached by one of their promoters. I clearly asked the promoter is there any contract that is month to month , the answer i got was "YES" He added if you want a month to month contract you have to join Virgin Active red which he explained is of a low class than the norma Virgin Active we know. I had no problem with that because i knew i was not going to a member for long , i was going to write exams and knew i would not be able to juggle work, school and gym at the same time. To cut the long story short, after sometime i decided i need to cancel my membership. That's when i learnt that i'm on a 24 month contract. I explained that i wasn't aware otherwise i wouldn't have signed up. Whenever they deducted money from my account ill immediately reverse it. Later I was called by MBD and the agent threatened they will blacklist my name from taking credit should i not pay. she was very unprofessional and extremely rude. I've asked them to send me a copy of the contract and till this very day no one has sent me anything. I've asked not to be called by this company however they call from different numbers daily Let's not talk about the sms i get "EXTREMELY ANNOYING". I feel i was manipulated in joining the club and was mislead and now im harassed and provoked on a daily basis. I feel it's unfair for virgin active to threat me in this manner. Lastly i will not advise anyone to join them.
