Virgin Active not responding to emails

I have cancelled my membership with VA due to the mess they made here in George. Since then I've asked for proof of my cancellation, but they are simply ignoring me like they have done before when I had to enquire repeatedly about freezing my membership. It was my plan to go back to VA once they eventually open the new club here in George, but now that I know Planet Fitness is also part of Discovery Vitality, I guess I will stay with Planet Fitness.
