Virgin active nightmare

When I joined Virgin active in December 2022 I asked Fanafuthi in Balfour mall the consultant if they do short term contracts and he said there is an option to freeze my account when I’m out of the country . Month end of January when I was leaving , I asked him to freeze it as I was traveling and he didn’t . In March I was called and told I’m owing gym fees for 3 months by their head office . I explained what happened and asked them to cancel my membership , they said I have to pay one month fee and a cancellation. They sent me a link for that and I settled that . They said the rest they will override in their system as this membership was running in the system regardless of telling Fanafuthi to freeze it. A year later I’m getting harassed by their debt collection department MBD for payment . As much as I wanted to join the gym in the near future I will never consider joining with them .
