Virgin Active Mitchells plain and Brackenfell

Good day.

I really hope that writing my situation here will help me as i don't know what else to do anymore.

I belonged to Virgin Active in Mitchellsplain., and i canceled my contract on the 27th July 2023.

I then had to pay a cancelation fee for myself and my partner at the time.

I paid R980 for myself and R980 for my partner. The lady then told me because im canceling so late in the month my debit order of R980 will still go off on the 1st of August and then it did go off.. But i do understand it happend due to canceling so late in the month.

This year May I've been getting calls from a Credit Company named MBD stating I'm owing Virgin Active A R2000, and needs to settle.

I went to a Virgin Active branch near me called Virgin Active Red to find out whats happening. They sended me to the bank to get statements of my payments made which i did.

Up untill today Virgin Active didn't sort out this matter yet, they say its a problem at their side and that the money wasn't located correctly.The matter has been send to their Treasurer and still no feedback.

Its been 3 months now and this Credit company keeps on phoning me 8-9 times a day.

Im really scared this will affect my credit score.

Virgin Active is not showing any interest in sorting out this situation which they have put me in. The send me from one person to a next.

I really had it up to here now with this matter.
