Virgin Active give false information

I am very disappointed in Virgin Active I will not sign up with them ever again as they give members false information. I was advised if I cancel my membership I pay 40% of the remaining balance, however this is all lies when I called to do the cancelation they told me to pay the full amount of the remaining balance.

I am disappointed and disgusted in Virgin Active and I will never ever go back to that gym.
