Virgin Active False Adversting and *****ING

I took a 2 year contract in Aug 2014. I called in to find out what is the option to move this contract to 1 year and i was told I cannot do this. I am fully aware that the price of the 2 year to the 1 year is R465 vs R565. I asked the consultant if I could have the 1 year contract expire end August 2015 and I will pay a BALLOON payment of the difference together with the penalty of the change and I was told this is not possible. the person assisting told me the system cant do that and I cant move from 2 to 1. I explained that my lifestyle has changed and as such i cant attend gym and I have 17 months left on the contract. I work on international projects with odd times and I cannot make the gym hours. HOW CAN VIRGIN ACTIVE LIE ON ADVERTISING THAT THEY WANT A FLEXIBLE LIFESTYLE AND THEY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE's HEALTH. When they are unable to assist and meet in the middle. the sales person, called their teamleader and between themselves made a decision that this is the rule and thats it. IT's about ETHICS, and its SAD but this GYM is lieing and cheating intelligent people. No wonder, people are migrating to Planet Fitness and other community clubs.
