Virgin active encouraging people to live unhealthy lives by pulling old unpaid records on them

Virgin active is encouraging people to not exercise. We have had contracts with them about more than 5yrs ago. What's even frustrating is that when you have a problem with your membership, they lock you out the gym but at the end they want you to pay the whole 24months contract amount when they had locked you out maybe on month 6. For them to want to claim the whole contract amount, why cant they let you use the gym because they know that you will owe the whole 24mths irrespective of where you attended gym or not. My family now wants to join the gym again but we are handed buy a more than 5yr old debt that is not being written off even when they can clearly see that you never used the services. You will keep losing clients because theres obviously reasons that makes one not being able to attend the gym and then end up having a pilled up bill for a service you never recieved. Whenever we want to join, they pull the old record
