Virgin Active Durbanville - Lack of Visible Management

I joined Virgin Active Durbanville since relocation approximately 1.5 years to date. It is with disappointment and frustration that I have to share my experiences at the Virgin Active Durbanville (Deville Centre). I make reference to a situation that happened this evening at the Gym i.e. on the first floor weight training area (corner shoulder training area) between 17h50 and 18h15 (Peak Training Hours), where a woman deliberately occupied three machines at the same time by placing her towel on one machine, her water bottle on another and a training mat next to the third machine. I find this totally inconsiderate and disrespectful to the other gym members, but my concern is that the gym lacks visible management during peak times, to ensure that situations such as this can be avoided. The lack of visible management during peak times at the Virgin Active Durbanville is evident, not so long ago I witnessed a member removing 4 pairs of weight sizes, and locating them next to his work bench, resulting in other gym members having to wait for inconsiderate members to complete their work out, and again to highlight lack of visible management to control situations of this sort from arising. The Gym equipment is old, but nothing short of proper maintenance i.e. weights look unsightly needing a coat of paint, the machines need oiling and proper tensioning, treadmills (ground / first floor machines) and electronic bikes are not in proper working order with a number without pedal straps, treadmills with faulty buttons that could have serious consequences if a member is unable to stop a treadmill due to the control button being non-functional. There are also a number of machines on the floor that are non-functional for some time either because of age and or unable to obtain parts, yet again unacceptable to be left on the floor. This evening on the 01st floor electronic bike area, the out of use signs appeared to be placed Nilly Willy on the cycles, having members seated right next to each other (not in accordance to the Covid-19 Protocols). The armbands that Virgin Active once utilised to identify their shift managers was one of the best ideas, this also appears to have fallen away.
