Virgin Active - **Beware** Unsolicited debit orders

Be very careful, Virgin Active will bill you more than what you sign for and what they communicate to you. On 30 Nov they shared and email to inform me that my memberdship fees increased to R417. On 30 Jan they have taken R835 from my account. Reported it, got a reference number, called to follow up, only to be told that the ref number (319106) does not appear on their system. If this was an individual doing this it would be regarded as theft. Why are big companies like Virgin Active allowed to "bully" consumers? Stay away, you will done over by them eventually witgh no or slow feedback on your money when overcharged. But I suspect that if you are late with payment, they will ban you from their clubs until you settle. Stay away from Virgin Active, not customer centric at the Head Office and systems to deal with customer complaints are very 3rd world-like. Moving onto PLanet Fitness.
