Virgin Active are you really that desperate for money?
My wife fell badly and and broke her leg in Thailand on the 28th April. Both bones were broken just above the ankle. As a result she had to have emergency surgery and thereafter was not allowed to fly for at least 10 days. We eventually flew out on the 12th. When I arrived back I telephoned Virgin Active we are members at the Silo, and have been for about 5 years on the 14th and requested a credit as she obviously could not go to gym. I in fact wanted to cancel her contract as she patently could not come to gym as the Osteo stated she could not put any pressure on the leg for at least 6 months. However the lady I spoke to convinced me to rather keep her contract however at R750.00 a month for the next three months when it could be re-evaluated. I agreed to that however stated that I clearly wanted a credit for this month, which they could simply take off my next months subscription. I was told basically "tough, so sad too bad we debited you on the 1st May, and that's the way we work". Really Virgin, is that the way you work? I can only presume that the consultant and her supervisor did not comprehend the situation. I await your reply with interest.
