Virgin Active and their poor treatment

I had a problem with a Virgin Active personal trainer at Hennopspark in Centurion. I paid for the first 12 sessions in full which amounted to R2400. The trainer kept rushing me to pay for the next sessions even though we had 7 sessions left. the week of 16 September 2016 we agreed to complete the remaining sessions so I went ahead and paid for the next 12 sessions. Sunday night, 18 September 2016 the trainer told me that he could not make it for the whole week because he had to go to the hospital. So we agreed to continue sessions on Monday 26 September 2016. On the day the trainer comes up with more excuses as to why he cannot train with me anymore. This is when I asked for a refund for all the sessions we did not have. Every time I try to contact him he would not answer my calls. I then decided to go to the club to ask for assistance. One of the Virgin Active employees sent the club manager an email who later told me there's nothing they can do and that I should go to the police station. The police told me there was nothing they could do since the money was not ******. I later found out that the trainer has resigned. This is when the club decided to offer me free sessions with another trainer which I refused because I made it very clear that I want my money back. If they can pay someone to train me surely they have money to refund me. I then called head office to cancel my contract and the lady told me that it's not possible.

Virgin Active do not know how to treat their clients and to make matters worse they make it impossible for a person to terminate their contract because of their *********** staff.
