Virgin Active allows bullying and ************

I have never felt so bul**** in my life. An older male gym member goes over his time limit on the treadmill. I ask him to let others go on the machine because there was a queue and he refused. He started a new session. I ask the assistant for help but he still refused to get off. When the manager arrives he lies about his time...to which I object. I was angry and I told him what he doing was unfair...then the manager says I need to stop talking or else I have to leave the gym. He breaks the gym rules and I get asked to leave for speaking up. As I continue telling him how unfair he is being, he lifts his hand and threatens to slap me! He said \what would you do if I slapped you right now?\". The manager and assistant stood there and did nothing as this older male was clearly bullying me and blatantly disregarding the rules because he is a law unto himself, he can break the rules, bully me and threaten me all in full view of gym staff. Completely unacceptable that I don't feel safe at the gym and nothing happens to those who bully and intimidate younger gym members. The manager continues to say that I should not speak to older people in an angry tone.??? How is this ok?"
