Virgin Active -A CON!

I was ******* into signing up with virgin active by promising a year free membership as a promotional package if my partner renews his contract. I was told that I have the option to NOT join after 6 months if I am not interested. I was billed after 6 months and had no success in trying to cancel this 'membership' that I never signed up for. I went into the branch several times to try and sort this problem out, but with NO LUCK. When is someone going to do something about this franchise's terrible cancellation policy??
