Virgin active

My contract expired in February 2023. I contacted virgin active to say we will not be renewing it but they continued debiting my bank account. I did contact virgin active in March, April, May and June of 2023 to continually explain that I cancelled and was not interested in returning to virgin active. Yet they still debited random amounts out of my bank account to make up the debit order amount that I paid while I had the contract. The manager said she was very sorry and will stop the debit order and was not sure why they had 2 very random amounts going off my account each month. I did stop all virgin active debit orders on my account already in March. Today , 18 January 2023, I received a phonecall to say virgin active has handed me over for non payment😡😡😡😡😡😡. I just phoned virgin active accounts department. The lady said she can not give me a reference number for my call and that the manager only requested my account to be cancelled from May 2023. I've asked her to go back to all the phone calls I made since March 2023 but she said she will go back to Mays phone call with the manager. She then said she will can not give me a reference number for my call today to find out why they handed me over as she is in the accounts department, Be very very careful when signing contracts with Virgin active and even more so when your contract is over.
