Virgin Active **** 20 days notice for cancellation, and never ending demands for payment.
I would like to warn you before signing up with Virgin active, or before trying to cancel your membership They state that you need to give them 20 days notice to cancel your membership, once you've been able to find the correct person to help you. Firstly, what they fail to say verbally, is that it's 20 business days notice. I ended up having to give them almost two months notice for a membership we no longer used. After this, I still had to send back the debit order almost 3 months later. This was way longer than 6 to 8 months ago. I've stopped counting at 20 phone calls received from them demanding payment. I then explain the situation, and I'm told they will get it sorted for me. Then a few days later, I receive another phone call from someone at Virgin active demanding money. I've tried to get them to resolve it at least 10 times, with no avail. I'm pretty confident they'll hand me over to lawyers soon, and most likely damage my great credit score, etc.
Due to financial constraints, and workload, I wanted to cancel my membership for myself and family, and restart it later on. I will never use them again!
Please be careful of Virgin active.
