Very unhappy customer

Virgin Active is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I open a contract that was supposed to be a month to month as I could train with my children and was attending the Roodepoort branch. The branch was never equipped for the loadshedding so often we sat without music while cycling and a few times were told to turn the music down. Then once all the inverters had been installed, I wanted to go and do some training but the system would not allow me to enter. The people at the front desk told me that it was due to the fact that I was not registered at the gym but rather another gym and that is why it was not allowing me to enter. Standing at the front desk very embarrassed I asked the consultants what the best option would be. They informed me to upgrade to their gym and it will allow me access. This meant that I could not train with my children. I very reluctantly opted for this option as I still wanted to train. After some thinking I thought that it was very unfair that I am being inconvenienced in this way and decided to cancel my contract. I tried getting hold of the head office but the number does not work and there is no email addresss. How does a big company of this nature work without email addresses. Anyway I contacted them on Facebook. They responded within a short period and eventually someone from their accounts department contacted me. I was informed of a cancellation fee and told them that I would be happy to pay it off which was the agreement. At the end of August a large amount comes off my account which is not what I had agreed to. I reversed this payment and today I get a call from them asking me about the money that I reversed and that I need to pay a large cancellation fee for my daughters contract. Her contract is for 2 years. I am so unhappy and decided to write my review. Please don't use Virgin Active as they are ******* and lie. There is also no way of getting hold of top management to try and deal with issues. If I could rate less than a 1 I would.
