Value Added Support Services from Staff.

Good day Virgin Active. I would just like to thank you for the value added support we can get from your organisation. This morning I arrived from Pretoria in Johburg CBD at 6am anticipating a heavy backlog of traffic due to the civil protests expected today. After an hour of waiting for a prospective client's office to open due at 8am I was feeling pressed and needed ablution facilities. My first assumption was that I hop in and use a fast food restaurant in Jorissen Str Johburg CBD. McDonald's being the closet I walked in and assumed I would make quick use and then catch an early morning breakfast while I wait the time away. To my surprise I was confronted with the worst case of staff incompetence I believe can be humanly possible, the restaurant already had a queue of morning patrons which is to be expected from a popular food chain and still feeling pressed I decided to make my way to the bathroom space and assume I can rejoin the breakfast line upon my return. A neon yellow jacked gentleman stopped me and told me about the restaurant's policy not to let people make use of the ablution facility without a proof of purchase which is understandable but I mentioned to him that I am pressed and cannot wait in a queue just to get a slip and make use of the bathroom but I was coming to no resolve which I accepted and proceeded to want to speak to management but to cut a long story very short I was met with the same brick thinking from manager.I asked where was the policy enforced and I was directed to a notice that had no relevance to my necessity. The obvious happened and I informed them i will be taking the matter further to no fear of recourse from them which intuitively tells me that giving BAD SERVICE is the order of the day. I proceeded out and walked a block further and saw your company logo at the next building, I walked up the stairs buzzed for staff services and a fine young gentleman came out. I didn't have my club card with me but the young man had no issue, he asked for my ID number to validate my membership and lead me all the way to the bathroom facility without any Q and A session about what I should and should not do. I feel that this kind of value should be expected from any place of business. I failed to get the young man's name as I was still very upset with my incident at the McDonald's but I wish to thank you firstly providing the value service and not trying to corner a patrons with obscenities and secondly commend the young man for enforcing it with such esteem. McDonald's please have your staff take a piece of the value system with you in Jorissen Str. Thank you. I'm still trying to make sense of the notice to my situation.
