Unprofessionalism

I went to the the Westville Virgin Active this morning with my mom, and like most girls of my generation - there was a young Indian girl taking selfies, of HERSELF in the change room. She was fully clothed and made sure that NO ONE else could be seen in her pictures. Unfortunately, that was not good enough for an old white lady who just so happened to be changing NO WHERE NEAR this girl. The woman shouted at the girl, insisting that she put her phone away because she believed that she was going to appear in the girl's photos, which, again were SELFIES. The woman then went up to call a manager who came downstairs and spoke to the girl, telling her that she's not allowed to take pictures. If that were the case, why isn't every other girl who visits the gym and change room told that they aren't allowed taking pictures? Why are they no "no pictures" signs? That was handled in a very unprofessional manner. Just because ONE person didn't like the idea of someone taking a selfie, of THEMSELF, all of that drama had to take place. I have seen many other girls of other races taking selfies in the change room, whilst there were many other women around and it was never an issue. I hope this matter is taken up and resolved in a more professional manner, as in some cases this can also be seen as ******.
