Threatened at gym
<p>Hi , I've recently started training at Brigh****er Commons and I never thought I'd experience an incident an Virgin Active that leaves no alternative but for my boyfriend to transfer gyms. What I fail to understand is why he should be billed for a transfer due to the behavior of another member that threatened to stab him. The altercation came about apparently because the member felt he was being starred at when my boyfriend spent the evening training with me for the most part and with his friend for a short while and although your fellow team has advised footage will be reviewed I'm in no way keen to play sitting duck and have the threat carried out . I would like to have his member ship transferred because it's a very serious threat and your team can do nothing aside from review footage possibly ban the member and hope the culprit does not retaliate! Is it really expected that a member threatened pay to transfer for their own safety??????</p>

The club manager has not been in contact. Taking into account that a serious threat was made it is difficult to understand how with a witness it is expected that a statement should be made by my boyfriend . Virgin Active cannot guarantee his safety and although investigations have to be carried out it is our opinion that the manner in which this has been dealt with does not seem to be in the interest of the individual threatened. A member cannot be held liable for the fact that internal video recordings are strictly visual and unclear. Despite the Club Manager indicating feedback would be provided on an ongoing basis, it has taken constant follow ups with the club to get feedback of any kind. To say it is disappointing that an incident can become an issue of hearsay despite having an incident reported by a witness would be understating the facts. Thank you for your assistance with the transfer but as the club seems not to comprehend the gravity of the situation and considers having everyone brought together a way to resolve the issue at the safety of my boyfriend who has been threatened is inconceivable and at this point it is unclear how any resolution could be achieved.
