DON'T JOIN!!! THEY WILL TELL YOU EVERY LIE TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP. I joined last year March the Carlswald, Midrand branch. I wanted to pay the years membership, was told i have arrears. I told them that i wont be able to do the arrears and the membership as i dont want any debit orders on my account. They said that i must come in and an arrangement will be made. I went in, Tiro sent me to another consultant who then told me that i will pay discounted amount on the arrears then the year. Told him i could not do that as i could only pay up to a certain amount, so i didn't want to rejoin. He called the manager, they agreed on the phone that they will waive the 12th month, and my account will be paid up for the year. I joined because of that condition. Today on the 10th month there's a debit order of R30 from my bank, called them (spoke to Tyron) and now I'm being told that no i short paid and next month a full months payment will go off. Told him that that is not the offer I was given, and that they was an agreement that was made that i should pay a certain amount. He tried calling the branch, no one seems to be wanting to speak to me to answer this. Is this they way you try get our hard earned money? Do you deceive people then deny. I honestly considering renewing my contract, but after this I DEFINITELY know i never want to join Virgin Active again. I refuse to pay something that was not agreed upon, any discrepancies should be dealt with in-house.
