Theft from Virgin Active lockers

Virgin Active doesn't care about their members. Somebody twice broke into my locked locker in the men's change room at VA Northridge, Bloemfontein, at the end of November. Money was ****** the first time, and money and cell phone the second time. I reported it to management. In subsequent communication and follow ups, they said it is the first time this has happened. A claim for the cell phone was rejected by Virgin Active's insurance - basically saying it is not their problem. (See attached letter) They also called it an "alleged locker theft", meaning they didn't believe me. What do they want me to do to secure my possessions? Add burglar bars and barbed wire to the locker? Today I found out that another member's locker was also broken into twice, in December and again recently. Money was also ****** and no steps was taken to find the culprit. Only today, when pressured, the manager said she is going to set a trap. She **** to me when she said I'm the only person who reported theft from the lockers. I've been a member for about 18 years, but cancelled my contract last Thursday. The manager's response: "Maybe you can join the gym again when you are not so angry." Seriously?

Virgin Active still hasn't rep**** officially on Hello Peter. They phoned me however, but remained non committed on solving the problem Since my first post I found out that other people were also ****** at Virgin Active Northridge. A mister Ross was ****** twice. His lock opened, money ******, and the locker again locked. In the Volksblad newspaper of 26 February 2019 a mister N Strydom wrote a letter complaining that he too was ****** twice, same modus operandi. Today I found out that a mister E Shepperson from Namibia visited Bloemfontein in December. R1 000 was ****** from his locked locker, same modus operandi. Virgin Active prefers to keep this quiet, it seems. Are they trying to protect the brand? And what about the members?
