The sad and sorry saga of Gym Instructor, Michael B < Ex VA Employee/Contractor> for 15 years !!!!

<p>There was an incident on Friday 2nd Sept.2016 at the Point VA where a woman came into the class once it had started, to obtain equipment to exercise somewhere else.</p> <p>The Instructor, Michael B then tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. He politely told her this was not permitted. She then accused him of assault and made a scene.</p> <p>He was then suspended from duty and subsequently dismissed from VA.</p> <p>The members believe this to be unfounded and unfair and VA have behaved disgustingly towards their loyal employee of 15 years who received the best Instructor award for 2015 Nationally.</p> <p>Hundreds of Members signed a petition and boycotted the class on Thursday 8th Sept. at Wembly Square Gym in Cape Town.</p> <p>A reply was sent via Facebook to members ,stating; "VA is a customer -centric organisation and we understand your frustrations. Unfortunately this is an internal matter and we cannot comment on it, and we will not be revisiting our decision. We apologise if you have been inconvenienced but rest assured that we will endeavour to provide you with innovative, world-class group exercises and top notch instructors".</p> <p>Beware of the following:</p> <p>1. VA Cape Town does not care for its Contractors nor for its loyal client base.</p> <p>2. They use bully tactics to intimidate Michael B, one of the Instructors, and then tried to cover up with sweet semantics as per the above response.</p> <p>3. It seems that there is no fair method of communicating for the outcome to Michael B.</p> <p>4. Kindly bear this in mind next time you take out a VA contract.</p> <p>5. They profess to be customer focused, however this incident proves the opposite.</p> <p>In conclusion members tried via FB to vent their views and to resolve this matter but was given a typical corporate "stay out of our business" response.</p> <p> </p>
