The most unbeliveable and Appauling Service

I like all Black South Africans my age want to look after their health and body especialy in the wake of many social deseases we have in our common society. Having empolyed by one of the leading International companies in the country full of excitement I decided to take up a gym membership. This was to keep in shape and to live a healthy and active life. This has been a mother of all night mares since November 2015.

I was advised against my better judgement that the process was easy and I would get masive discount which infact was a lie. I now not only being chased by debt collectors but have paid "virgin" through Momentum Multiply in access of R2576.00, the amount I'm being chased for is +-R756.50. What is concerning and rather infuriating is the logic of this case.

Firstly like all good citizens i made an enquiry first, albeit being pressured to take the membership on that day after being assured and being **** to. A few days later I agreed to a contract pending my discount with Momentum filled all necesasry documents and because it was after the deduction date i was further advised not to worry the premious would be R310.00 and would be a a double debit the following month.

I went to gym for the first month of November, on the 1st of December as I was swoping through the turnstile one of the admin pweople stopped me and advised i was woing R590.00 I asked why that was and she reffered me to the Sales consultant who assisted me to create this agreement. He Assured me that as soon as Multiply had kicked in I would be sorted and needed not to worry. A week later passed and a second a day after deduction date (which never took effect) I recived a strange call from a lady at Virgin Active headoffice, shocked and confused I began to explain the story and the logical and honest approach I had as I did not want to be in a debt position, she advised she would contact the branch which is the "Gardens Branch-Cape Town).

In January towards the end I then enquired about this situation and the lady never responded to my email. I then received a call from a debt collecting agency with prior enquiry and now I owed +-R1456.00. I was liverd and asked the gentleman to have Virgin Active call me, he rep**** he was not in a position to do so. I then visited the branch and by then I had already contacted Multiply my sleft to activate the discount. I was advised by the same salesman to then disreagrd the previous contarc as he would speak to his manger to have it "taken care of". We concluded a new contract in February on a national membership, at R322.00 per month.

The most infuriating and bizzar question which has not been able to be answered is "why am I then paying a membership whixh I can not use and why cant the amount already paid to them via Debit order can not be used to ofset the "debt". The Coportate Department and Headoffice have refused to comply and to write of the debt as I was prepared to pay for the use in the Month of Novermber 2015.

This is also to urge those that get excited by the prospect of gym and must be made aware of the complication and in ability of these big corporates to think logicaly and serve its client the way they have promised.
