Taking client at the virgin active without having to pay a rental?

Are you allowed to take clients or groups at the virgin active if you aren’t employed by the gym?

Apparently not. At the virgin I train at, apparently it is allowed to get a group of 8-10 people as well as taking them one on one without being a personal trainer on contract with virgin active.

These people come in with no regard for the other members. Use up huge amounts of space and equipment and conduct their own class that is not affiliated with the club. What is stopping other members from doing the same ?

As a result members who are going about their routines have to move around this huge group of people. Not only that but the poor trainers who pay rentals to use the space are at disadvantage. Why can’t they “train” groups of members for free ? Seems highly unfair to me.

I cannot understand how this has been allowed to continue. It is completely ridiculous. I don’t understand how anyone can get away with this.

I sincerely hope the organization takes steps to handle this situation
