Take responsibility for you negligence

Disappointed, dissatisfied, unacceptable and negligent.

A few feelings amongst others that I have towards Virgin Active as a whole.

I decided to gym on the 1st of June 2023, after returning home from a hotel room the night before, already not happy about spending the time away from home.

After my session I return to a extremely dark locker room, where a guy dressed in a shorts, peak cap, and tog bag. Keep in mind there’s no lights, I can’t see my hand in front of me kinda darkness. Which means, I never saw his face.

This man distracted me by discussing things regarding his kids, I then engage in conversation regarding my own kids. So he makes me so comfortable to the point where I didn’t think the following would happen.

I return from a dark shower, where there is no security during load Shedding, which means that it’s a hotspot for ********s.

My phone along with my card was ****** from the locker at Virgin Active Mitchell’s plain, the morning of the 1st of June 2023 between 10am & 11am.

I literally just claimed my new phone from my insurance a little under a week before that. So my new phone along with my bank card and ID gets ******. Which the next day they then emptied my bank account.

Now I don’t have a cent on my name, I don’t have any ID or bank card. I’m *****ed because Virgin Active decided not to put Security in the locker rooms during loadshedding, thus putting all my belongings at risk.

Virgin active has been aware of this syndicate for the past year and wasn’t successful with apprehending the suspects.

I refuse to pay an additional R1600, after already paying R800 to replace my device. So I either require a letter requesting to waive the above fee because of Virgin actives negligence or you’ll have to request that senior management cover the above access fee.

Believe me, you’ll are doing something about this.
