STAY FAR AWAY FROM VIRGIN OLD EDS! DON\T SIGN UP!"
I was curious to join VA, not yet a member of multiply or Vitality but use Profmed as my medical aid so I qualified for a cheaper gym contract through Momentum. Instead of advising me to sign up for Multiply and then join the gym,I was coerced by Ken Gonese, into signing up for Virgin Active first and then was assured the conversion would be smooth and and he would assist me with signing up to Momentum.<br> After the 5 day cool off period did, Ken called me, at which point I was busy, but he never phoned back. Instead, my details were leaked to an insurance broker who tried to sell me life policies under false pretences. When I went to Virgin, wanting to cancel my contract, I was told that it would cost over R3000 to cancel my contract even though I had been a member for 10 days. They assisted me with signing up to Momentum that day. When I went back with my Momentum number, I was charged 2 joining fees, one for signing up through VA, normally and one for signing up through Momentum, when I complained, he demanded very rudely I give him my bank details. Next month, I was charged debit orders by VA of R740 and R297 for the gym through Momentum and R169 for Momentum. AWFUL, TERRIBLE!
Thank you so much for taking my call today.
On behalf of Virgin Active I once again would like to apologise for the level of service received.
Your concerns have been escalated to the Club General Manager, Hasheem, and feedback will be given to you shortly.
