STAFF MEMBERS WITH POOR OR LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE S****S & OLD MACHINES

My Review is about Virgin Active - Westgate - Mitchell's plain - Cape Town. I am very disappointed with the Customer service. When I first started gyming at the Westgate branch I would recieve warm greetings when entering & when doing my workout on the machines I would receive warm greetings while being on or off the machines. There was always visible staff on the floor with their name badges.

Presently: 1. 90% of the reception staff don't greet. instead their interest lay in chatting to friends and other staff members. 2. during loadshedding - when the lights go out at night, they deliberately turn off the water supply whilst PAYING MEMBERS are still showering. There were members that had to go home with their bodies partially soaped, including myself. 3. if you do see staff members on the floor, they usually chat-up or flirting with females or talk to their friends. 4. the personal trainers are also very disappointing - they don't greet. there are currently 3 personal trainers and i was on talking terms with all 3 with them & suddenly they just give blank stares and walk pass you. they dont show an interest in helping members when doing their workout. there's this tall guy HIS NAME IS Devon Jordan thats a personal trainer thats so bladdy negative - i really dont know what his doing their working at that gym. 5. I am sick & tired of getting on second hand machines - some of which are partially rusted. I asked the gym Manager: Daryn Crowie when are we going to get new gym machines and his reply was later in this year. MYSELF AND MANY OTHER GYM MEMBERS WANT A BETTER MORE EFFECTIVE ABDOMINAL MACHINE & NOT THE OLD ONE THAT HAS BEEN AT THE GYM FOR YEARS.

To me a gym must be hip & happening with staff that has a real interest in their members - in the beginning the staff use to make one feel like wanting to come to the gym but now its just negative.

moreover, now i am sorry to say but you cannot have a group instructor that is over weight and ashmatic that gives a Zumba class - her name is shameez. Im sorry i don't mean to be rude or disrespectful, but it puts many people off.

as a result of the above there have been many people that left virgin active westgate to join ZONE FITNESS. I BELIEVE THAT VIRGIN ACTIVE WESTGATE CAN BE A BETTER PLACE IF YOU GET RID OF THE OLD STAFF & REPLACE THEM WITH BETTER MORE VIBRANT, RESPECTFUL & ENTHUSIASTIC STAFF THAT SHOWS A REAL INTEREST IN THE MEMBERS & GET BETTER GYM EQUIPMENT THATS NOT OLD.
