Slipping standards

I have a serious problem with the double standards at Virgin Active in particular Virgin Active Rosebank! When asking the staff permission to deadlift without shoes on I was told it was okay, but then the then next time I go there it isn’t and I get chastised by the manager, who I have never seen there before... probably just sitting in his office being as useless as his staff. The trainers do as they please, taking the sanitiser bottles with them preventing regular members from using them to clean the equipment! While we are discussing the equipment I cannot tell you how disgusting and dirty the weights and equipment are!
