Shocking service and unhealthy practices inside VI
Me and my daughter set of to the meyersdal virgin active, very enthusiastic to start gymming. It took 90 minutes to do the admin - I have done it a number of times before. I was not informed ever that our membership was cancelled. Certainly you guys could have send a e-mail or made a telephone call when you saw that and give your clients 10 days to set it right.<br> I had to pay R1540 to renew my membership. I went to the car to fetch my money. When I got back with the exact amount I got told I need to pay another R141 for my child. Only to find out she could not do anything in the gym. She(7) either had to go to the baby/toddler room and watch TV or she can play computer games. I was shocked!! In the current situation of electronic stimulation syndrome where kids do far more screen time than they should and suffering from the consequences there of, I cannot remotely understand how you could even have computers with games there from a health care view.Children also needs to be active and healthy. I found it absolutely shocking that there is no program for them at the gym. it propagates that a ' coach potato`' approach for children is all right.I am disappointed about the service.
Thank you for taking my call and explaining in such clear detail the concerns you have about physical activity not only for your child but for children in general.
I am pleased to hear that the club has made contact and has helped, and I will put you in touch with our national Club-V manager to discuss your concerns regarding screen time and activity.
Regards,
Dave
