I’m extremely disappointed that during Covid people are being exploited at your clubs out of their money

I train at your club in Ballito KZN, Iv been a member with virgin active for the last 10 years. I recently had decided to go back after much deliberation weighing out the risks of training during covid.

There had been lots of rumors floating around that people’s accounts had been frozen. No1. Your club at balllito their telephone lines are still down, Iv called numerous times to query what’s the status of my account to no prevail as I’m never able to contact the club as their phone facilities do not even work. I had received no phone calls that the accounts were unfrozen. No sms. No email. Yesterday( 6/12/20) I had gone into your club to see what’s going on only to find I have been billed since September and have my account cancelled. So now I have an account in arrears of 2400 which I now need to pay (and I did) but it seems highly unfair that you have done this, and I am not the only one. I pay a full premium to train at your club. How can you guys just debit people’s accounts without notifying us of your reopening ? The club at ballito half the equipment isn’t working, the phone lines are not working. These are hard times for a lot of people, I still would like to train at your club however, I do not feel that it is right to have charged me for these past three months without notifying me whatsoever regarding accounts being unfrozen to my acc in arrears and that it will be cancelled. Why was I not notified ? 2400 is a lot of money. I would like someone to follow this up, with the club as well as I want my money back, I feel ****** out of my hard earned money, there’s no communication from your club. And to start training again I have to sign up another contract pay another joining fee, ridiculous! Ideally what should have been done is that when the accounts were unfrozen let the members come in and unfreeze it.
