Refusing first aid

Today while training at your Rustenburg gym, I hurt myself on a clip while trying to change bars, I damaged my nail on the nail bed and was bleeding. I had on a previous occasion also cut my finger open on a clip which also led to profuse bleeding. Both then and today I asked the receptionist for a plaster and on both occasions I was refused - I was specifically told that they don't have plasters. I don't understand how a gym does not have a basic first aid kit - this is surely a basic standard for all businesses, no matter how small or irrelevant the staff may think the injury is, the fact that I was bleeding, they should've provided some sort of care?
