It is really disturbing and difficult for me to understand the behaviour of some of the employees at this particular gym, especially when it comes to race relation. I was made to feel like I do not deserve to make use of this gym particularly the Rumble class on Saturday the 15th at about 07h00. Cawekazi the fitness facilitator gave attention to the two white ladies during the workout session. The session was attended by myself as a black male member and another coloured lady. I requested to be demonstrated a particular exercise by Cawekazi and I got a shock of my life when she deliberately ignored me and I pointed out to her that I deserved the same treatment that she was giving to the other white members . She threatened to report me to her manager because I had said it was my Constitutional right to raise such concerns. I was also shocked that she could not speak any other indigenous South African language. It is 2018 in South Africa and it is actually sad to learn that Virgin Active promotes racial backwardness.
