R526 debit order went off instead of R499 young adult premium membership

Signed a membership deal mid last year for young adults (I’m 23 and a student) that I get to go to any Virgin Active in the country (premium membership) for R499 p/month for the next 2 years. If I cancel before the 2 years pass, I have to pay a big cancelling fee, so the staff member that helped me made sure I was sure that I’ll stick with this for 2 years and I said yes. Before this, I was paying R550 and only allowed at one gym, and not during peak hours. This month a debit order of R526 has been deducted from my account without being acknowledged, and when I went to one of the local Virgin Active’s they said it’s an annual price increase??? So, what does this mean? The deal I agreed to for two years isn’t valid for the whole two years? Virgin Active can just increase the payments as they please, so a special deal on a membership isn’t a deal at all? Unnecessary stress, and dissatisfied with how this is being handled.
