In the beginning of September 2017, after much thought, I decided to once again join virgin active. the reason for me wanting to join a gym is because I was diagnosed with diabetes and exercise is of importance. I was deliberating as to whether I should join the branch in N1 City or lower long street. i live in Goodwood and work/ed 5 meters away from the gym in lower long street. I chose to join the gym in lower long street because of it's proximity. No signage or any indication that the branch would be closing down the following month. I suppose the salesman neglected to mention it as i especially and specifically pointed out to him the convenience of the branch been right next door to my workplace. Even during the month of October, no signage. yes they say that it was up inside the gym but it was strategically placed because i sure as hell did not see it for the times that I was there. I heard from a collegue that it was closing down. long story short, I want this contract cancelled due to the non-disclosure. All I get for my effort from virgin active are call centre ladies telling me that I signed a contract and that I am bound by it. These ladies are trying to convince me that there's no problem because the gym only moved a few hundred meters from where it was. They obviously also don't know how to measure. I've asked for somebody senior to contact me but to no avail. WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO. virgin active, still just in it for the money. I now paid my 40% to get out of this cancel. That's really what you call money down the drain. Fortunately for me, I've already convinced 15 people to either join with planet fitness or zone fitness. Revenge is ultimately very sweet. I posted before regarding this but as usual, nobody at that place cares. they have the money.
