POOR VIRGIN ACTIVE GEORGE CLUB

Virgin Active George is probably the poorest VA club I've been to. EQUIPMENT Besides the fact that the equipment is outdated, the machines and weights actually weight can't be seen on the weight. Covid exposed how filthy the barbells are the club. Yes I understand that it is a country club etc but I've been to the Pietermaritzburg club who is on the same level but equipment are taken care off. At the moment there is 1 EZ bar available for cable 4 cable machines. THE EQUIPMENT NEEDS TO BE BETTER TAKEN CARE OF OR A SERIOUS UPGRADE IS NEEDED.

STAFF The staff do not even look like they want to work there, they have no interest nor passion for what they do, and that is obviously needed if customer service is to be great. I can't comprehend how a cleaner is in better shape than a sales person or all the people who are to assist us on the floor? I'M NOT GOING TO LIE, THERE IS SOME REALLY NICE STAFF WHO GENUINELY REMAIN CONSISTENT AND HELPFUL, however some are just there to treat certain people well and others not. After Joining this very small club the guy that signed me up has not greeten me once after the initial sign up.

TIMES When club closes 8pm or 9pm staff expect you to be out at that time. When I trained in Richards Bay and Pietermaritzburg we were to be out at 9:15pm. I do not use the shower facilities as there is 0 privacy. Friday 20 November 2020 I was training from 6:30 to 8pm however, Tvs were off 19:45(i have video footage) lights went off 19:50 in some areas of the club, water fointains were switched off with 2 members still training. This is the first time I'm complaining but it happens more often than not. I recall a time I was washing my hands in restroom after training and lights were switched off while I was in there. Unacceptable, seeing that I'm on a premier membership paying lots of money for a service but instead get treated like I'm being done a favor. TO BE HONEST, THE ONLY REASON I'M STILL A MEMBER IS BECAUSE OF MY TRAVELING to PE WHERE AT GREENACRES AND HUMEWOOD IS AN OVERALL MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE.
