POOR SERVICE

I had signed up my son following a promo that they were running with the company i work for last year January. That all dependants under the age of 18 will be free . In Jan of this year I had received a call stating that i owe money for January 2016. I reviewed the contract that i had signed, the terms and conditions states (

apply to become a member of Virgin Active from the 2015/01/14 to 2016/01/31 after which my membership will automatically continue on a month to month basis unless I tell Virgin Active that I want to cancel. If I cancel before the 31/01/2016, a cancellation fee is payable”) I had escalated my query to a Lady in the KINGS PARK branch named Seema Roopnarain and had advised that i more that happy for the month of february and to please cancell the membership thereafter .I dont see why i must pay for Jan when it falls part of the PROMO period. Then this would be consider as FALSE advertising!!!

This was sent on email , i had requested feedback on query and had attached my intial contract for to review as the dates are very SPECIFIC.

I had requested feedback and still no response. The only time i receive a call is from the center with regards to payment.

I hoping after this post, that I would recieve a prompt response.

I raised the issue that I have NOT received any correspondence from them in writing via post or email and as per the Consumer protection Act, they obliged to give me notice at least 40 to 80 days business days before the contract expires following a fixed term contract, of which Virgin Active failed me as a member.

The membership number is question is ***.

Thanking you

Thanks for giving me a chance to explain the promotional offer.
I am glad that we have been able to restore your faith in Virgin Active again.
