Please explain to me
I have a question for virgin active. Why does it seem fine to do the following? -come to gym in slops. -Not bring a towel. -Not use the towel on equipment. -Have people not use a towel while they are dripping with sweat and leave the machines/equipment in horrible states only for the next gym member to clean it. -Use multiple machines at the same time. -Use multiple sets of weights at the same time and then not return them to their proper place. -Scream and shout at each other (having a conversation like they at a night club). -Have groups of people using one machine then spend the next hour *****ing around and talking instead of actually using the machine. -Have people drop there weights so hard that if you peeled the thin rubber mats away, would show damage even though the floor has just being fixed a couple months back. -Have a water fountain that has not worked properly in many months. Have air cons that don’t seem to work properly in the weight area half the time, which creates a humid area where the mirrors are even full of moisture/sweat/germs. Which in turn has actually made me sick about 3 times in the past 6 months due to no air circulation and no "clean" air. -Have machines that are half falling apart, that can actually be tightened/fixed with a spanner. -Have machines that are broken or in maintenance for more than a week without being fixed (it’s not rocket science to fix). This is what I have seen as a member for years and have never seen anything happen about it or even a member being told to pack away there weights. People complain and all you get is empty promises or a new sign saying pack away your weights and keep the area clean.
All the above is fine but you better not use your ID number for more than 3 consecutive times. Then you will get **** attitude (in the form of them saying I was warned this week already) which I wasn’t. Threatened to deny me access and just having a god like tone like you a prison warden. If all the gym rules were enforced, I was actually given a warning and was just told "nicely or politely" I’m sorry I cannot let you enter as you have used your ID number to many times this week. I would accept it, as I do have a tendency to misplace my gym card. I’m also still not sure why the card is a big deal. If it’s the extra time to type the code then it shouldn’t be an issue for me as I type the code faster than people who use their cards. I can guarantee you if there was another good gym in my area, you would lose customers by the boat load.
