Overcharging on monthly debits and unable to rectify

I have been a Virgin Active member going on 5 years, I had discontinued my membership last year for a few months, when joining the club again I wwas issued with a new membership, My monthly bill was to be R590. This went on for a few months until I went to my club, honeydew and requested to change the membership to a Vilality membership, In doing so I had to pay an joining fee of R2000. I was assured that the membership would be changed and going forward I would only pay R150 monthly. At the end of the month that instead of R150 being debited, R590 was debited. I later went in to the club to discuss this. After this I was once again assured that I would be refunded and everything will be rectified. Unfortunately at the end of the following month, once again R590 debited from my account. I went back into the club to discuss and had to speak to another person and explain the entire story the them. After looking into my account, I was asked to pay arrears of R500 for some reason, and apparently this would enable them to update my account and rectify the situation. I did this and at the end of the month, once again R590 being debited. I have had to put a stop payment on the account as I refuse to continue paying this much for the account. I am completely frustrated with this and find it appauling that VIrgin Active cannot resolve a simple problem. Instead they rather frustrate and embarrass the clients. I often get asked by the reception staff about my account being in arrear, and this is completely due to the incompetence of the stafff. I have spoken to numerous staff and managers at the club re: this issue and no one has bothered to try and resolve the issue. Please assist as I would like to not have any issues with my gym membership!
