Outrageous cancellation fees

Hi,<br> I have entered a 1 year contract with Virgin Active Windhoek in October 2015 last year. As I am moving to Germany in March 2016 (which I did not know when i joined VA) I want to cancel my Virgin Active membership as there are no VA clubs in Germany. In my contract it states a 'reasonable' cancellation fee will be charged when terminating the contract. After enquiring at the Windhoek Virgin Active I was told that I have to pay 40% of the costs for the remaining contract period. In which way is this reasonable? This is simply put a rip-off.<br> Firstly, I think it is very unfair not being able to cancel a membership when moving if there is no VA around and secondly, why do I get charged 40% when everywhere in the internet they talk about 30% cancellation fees for Virgin Active? I am really disappointed by the poor customer service of Virgin Active and hope a representative will get in contact with me in this regard.<br> <br> NoMoreVA<br>
